Semi-permanent makeup is a procedure that implants pigment into the skin using a fine needle to create a beautifully defined, symmetrical set of eyebrows that will last up to 3 years.
(colour boost may be required 12-18 months later)
After a thorough consultation, your eyebrows will be mapped out on both sides, a pre-draw to show you what the end result will look like, then when we both agree on the shape, the first procedure will begin. Semi-permanent brows must be carried out over two sessions to confirm enough pigment is implanted to ensure even and lasting results.

Semi-permanent makeup takes a lot of skill and patience to get just right. It is imperative to know the skin and their surrounding tissues in great detail if you are to ensure a safe and natural treatment is performed.

After my initial SPMU training in 2020, I enlisted in a masterclass earlier in the year with a master cosmetic brow artist to brush up on my skills and add new brow services to the menu. It is important to select your permanent brow artist carefully and make sure they are constantly updating and practising their skill as it is such an intricate procedure.

Benefits of SPMU
Saves time in the morning

Fills in sparse/overplucked brows
Adds shape and definition to your brow area
Eyebrows frame your face beautifully when mapped correctly
To add symmetry or balance out uneven brows
What can I expect after treatment?
After treatment, your body will naturally try and fight the "foreign body" that has been implanted into your skin (the pigment) as it recognises this is not part of your body and tries to push this out. Your antibodies and lymphocytes rush to the treated area to start "attacking" the pigment and attempting to form a scab by releasing what we know as lymph.

Cleaning your brows for the first two days is important to make sure this fluid "lymph" is cleaned away and ensures correctly healing.

You may feel tender and tight in the brow area whilst the area potentially has mild swelling. This will subside a few hours after treatment.

Your eyebrows may seem quite dark to begin - This will die down in a few days. Your brows may flake and start to form scabs. It is extremely important you do NOT pick at the scabs formed. The natural healing process is occurring under the scab.
Picking the scabs will not only remove the pigment from the skin but potentially scar you and leave you unable to receive another treatment in this area.

Using the cream supplied, applying from day 2 onwards will ensure brows are kept moist and kickstart the healing process.

Trust the process. Once the scabs have fallen off and a few weeks have passed you can come back for session two (normally 4-6 weeks later)
